Friends and fans, my next single from my upcoming EP, Heartbreak, Vanity, and Attention to Detail drops tonight at midnight on Spotify and RIGHT NOW on bandcamp! Get over there and buy it!
HV&AD will be releasing in September on bandcamp. Two weeks after that, it will premier on streaming platforms, so the only place to listen to the whole album will be bandcamp for the first two weeks. Additionally, on bandcamp, a fifth song will be included that will not be available on streaming platforms. You will have to buy the EP to listen to this fifth track.
More exciting news! If you purchase the EP on bandcamp in that first two weeks, you will receive an invitation to a discord server where I will be hosting a virtual release party on the day the EP goes live on streaming platforms. The party will consist of activities you all vote for prior to the party, but could include a virtual listening party, an acoustic performance of the ep, or even some Jack box games.
Now, most excitingly, the tracks on the EP are as follows:
I Want to See Red
Sunburn
Come Up With Nothing
Untitled
Messes to clean - Live (bandcamp only)
The title of the fourth track is TDB. Whoever spends the most money on Sunburn from now until the EP is finalized will get to listen to and choose the title of this song with me before the EP drops (I will have veto power).
Finally, please enjoy Sunburn, my ode to a summer we never had.
lyrics
Today I got a sunburn, and I thought about last year
I thought about your smile and the nights we shared
You would not help cool me
You were the one who burned me
the only thing I loved more was the sun
It was burning you, it was burning me
All summer long my skin turned red from your sunburn
And you sun-kissed cheeks, hot on my lips
All summer long I warmed myself on your Sunburn
Dancing through the city, hiding on my roof
Making love by the AC where we could cool our burns
I told you I loved you; you said you loved me too
I'll call you up so we can feel the heat
Now it's cold and raining
But you can keep me warm
Nothing last forever
What I wouldn't give
For a sunburn
Burning you
Burning me
You burned me
